    Hi... Do you know how to enable Lan Port on ubuntu 10.04 ?

    i have 2 os installed windows and ubuntu iam getting net connection on windows but not on ubuntu... can you help me ?

      You can use standard commands such as ip, ifconfig and route, which will work on most Linux operating systems. These commands allow you to configure settings which take effect immediately, however they are not persistent and will be lost after a reboot.

      To temporarily configure an IP address, you can use the ifconfig command in the following manner. Just change the IP address and subnet mask to match your network requirements.

      sudo ifconfig eth0 10.0.0.100 netmask 255.255.255.0

      having 2 os installed is not a problem. are you using a mobile broadband?
